How do I find friends as an adult?

Life shouldn't be about work, cook, clean, dr appts, etc. I need some fun and people to share that with. I live alone so it gets pretty lonely.

Look at doing fun activities, such as say a local dance class / group, can be ballroom or anything really.

if you do music look at that side of things for a club.

local woman’s running club.

an activity or hobby you are interested in learning but is also a bit of fun and ideally involves others.

team sports are pretty good ways to meet similar people.

Make a list of stuff you think is number 1 on list, then 2 then 3

see what is local to you and what you need to travel for.

Maybe arrange a night out with work colleagues, if they bring friends then there's no awkwardness of starting conversation with new people.

Same issue. I find it really hard to meet people like me. I play video games and watch anime (done from home) and I don't drink alcohol, so going out partying/to a bar is really not my kind of thing.

Go to a place where both you and people you like would visit. Choose a place or activity where social interactions are encouraged. So if you like books, don't go into a library, try a second hand bookstore instead. If they are reading a book you are interested, ask their opinion on it, stuff like that.

Don't you meet friends at work? Ask them if they want to go out sometime or invite them for a dinner or something.

Try to reconnect with your childhood friends or join a club or something that you're interested in.

Just don't try to force anything, you connect with people or you don't.

There’s a lot of ways. One place I met a lot of friends was at kickboxing. I’m sure you could meet a lot of friends at places like this. Something interactive, not the gym. Events where you actually workout together. You’re very pretty, I’d watch out for men just trying to get w you. I’d talk to you online but that’s not really a friendship.

Try to find free groups on Facebook and apps like meet-up or events in your area. Try to find a community of 20 somethings that like doing similar things

Yea.. try to read between the lines. If you search for Adult Fun or Friends you are looking for sex. You got to find Communities or Groups near you. Events that are soft.

Go to google and type in 'groups' where you live.. There are practically groups for everything where you can meet up once or twice a week.. From there you might be able to make new friends.

Anything social, parties, concerts and music festivals. It's not that hard. See somebody and start a conversation it can be as simple as I like your shirt. The people that will want to engage you will let you know by how the respond.
