If it was me I'd probably just act completely distracted the whole time. Particularly if it felt like my mom was egging this other mother and daughter on for an arranged marriage. if anything it would only egg me on to embarrass my mom. I live by a stiff policy of respect what I want to do and let me learn from my own mistakes that I make and if you won't let me then I'll just end up compounding on them XD. I've always been pretty abrasive to things that I really don't want.
