Let me see. The definition of flirting is:

"a sexual behavior involving spoken or written communication, as well as body language, by one person to another, to suggest interest in a deeper relationship with the other person".

Now, we all know what "deeper relationship" means in this context, right?

To me, that is nothing more than emotional cheating. If the conditions were right, there is nothing that those 2 people would do to prevent physical cheating.

In this case, I would simply break up with that cheater. Problem solved and no drama. He can screw around with whomever he wants and my mother would become a stranger to me. As simple as that.

If it’s in a playful way then it shouldn’t be a big deal , he is just being kind and friendly , I use to joke around and flirt with my ex mother in law here and there on a playful way , but I never crossed over any lines and I didn’t want to fuck her , I just liked making her smile and laugh . So if he is taking it to far , then yes that’s inappropriate and disrespectful, if he is doing so , and yes have a serious talk with him about it , if that’s the case.
