It's traditional, when a young child brings home something they've made at school to put it on display. Most parents have stuck a picture on the fridge door or temporarily displayed a paper mache model. It helps build their self confidence and esteem.
But what if they made something that although was innocent looked a bit rude. Would you display it?

Yes I would, but I would give it a place of honor where I can cherish it and where it won’t risk getting broken - in the vault, right next to the gaudy figurine of a dragon drinking out of a mud puddle that one of my aunts gave me.

Of course I'd display it. You can't embarrass your child. I'd have it in a corner of the room with a clearly-labeled plaque next to it "CANNON - by <child's name>".
