If you’ve ever stopped being friends with someone, what was the reason? And are you glad you stopped being friends?

yes for many different reasons. the biggest one would be that the loyalty and care was not mutual.

i Had a friend i knew for 57 years He was never there for me his crony friends not me?
He no longer is in my life. I asked him why were you never there for me he said am not your Carer?

I stopped being friends with a few people from middle school after e found out they were taking advantage of me, and using me.

Yes, they tried to make me look like the bad guy in the friendship.

Yeah misunderstanding, taking one for granted etc many things which break friendships.
