I wish they could still call me. My mom's been gone 25 years and my dad's been gone for 4. I had a fucked up dream about 10 years ago. In the dream my mom was still alive and I didn't have her phone number. She wouldn't call me because she was mad at me, but I didn't know why. I wanted to see her and talk to her, so I drive by my old house where she died but in the dream she was alive and inside the house. I stopped in front of the house and then drove away because I felt like she wanted me to go away. It was a terrible feeling and then I woke up. If your parents and grandparents aren't toxic and are good people, my advice is to spent as much time with them while you still can. Regret is a motherfucker.

Not very often. I text them and let them know nothing interesting is going on or at least nothing new is going on so there’s no need
to call a lot. Also, they have their own life to deal with and I have mine so when you combine everything I mentioned, you can see why they do not call often at all.

Once a month I guess. Sometimes more. Sometimes less. I only live 45 minutes away these days. Which is much closer than the 15 hours away that I used to be.

I live with my mother so she doesn't need to call me to know how I'm doing. As for my father I call him 5 or 6 times a week and other times he calls me.
