+1 yI talk to my parents every day. I tell them all the time that I wish they were still here. Sometimes they send me a sign that they heard me.

Are they still alive?

Enjoy them while they are here. Life doesn't go on forever. I did a lot for my parents but I always wish I did more.

+1 ythere is a dark void in my heart where my sense of security and safety from my father once stood.
That hole has been there since I was a child.
There is a dark hole in my heart where the love I felt coming from my mother once was.
Mesh that with the amount of friends Iâve loved and the sheer amount of times Iâve been betrayed / brushed off despite constantly improving?
The idea that someone can love me feels utterly absurd to me.
So naturally, I tend to avoid my parents when I can.
One thing I definitely am hopeful for is not being like my brothers or parents so my children donât end up with this empty darkness inside me.
And for my wife to feel loved from me without looking down on me. (Which happens to me in dating, so I have to put on a persona otherwise I âturn girls offâ. Another hole, but whatâs new?)03 Reply- +1 y

+1 yI talk to my mom several times a week. She watches my daughter throughout the week so I see her when I pick her up/drop her off.
I also take her shopping or just take her out to eat here and there. She doesnât get out the house much so I like to treat her.And I talk to my dad maybe once every other month. And I see him maybe a few times a year. Iâm not super close with him

11 Reply 515 opinions shared on Family & Friends topic. I talk to my mom about every other day on the phone, and my dad weekly when I see him in person. He's more of a long, deep conversationalist than a chit chatter.

Maybe every other day or so. 🙂
10 ReplyMom's the only one & I talk to her every day. We were always very close & she's been living with me ever since she had a breakdown when I was 19. The past year she seems to be getting Alzheimer's so I'm not sure how much longer I can keep her at home. I've taken many precautions, surveillance with night vision streamed to my phone, alarms on doors etc..
