How would women react if a 50 year-old man has only been with 1 woman?

My other family members and friends are happy to hear my father is finally getting back into the dating world. There is only one issue that he seems kind of embarrassed about:

He hasn't dated a woman for 25 years and just started dating a couple weeks ago. The only woman he ever had was my mother. She died giving birth to me. He's finally ready to start over and put the trauma at rest. This happened after he had a couple dreams about my mom. In those dreams, she kept telling him to be happy and move on with his life.

How do women react if they were dating an older man that's only been with 1 woman?

yeah as the years passed, it seems more people aren't faithful anymore, esp the newer generations. I hope the new woman in his life appreciates him and understand what he went through was traumatic.

It matters, but not because it really matters, but because the sort of women out there in the dating market are mostly superficial, impatient, judgmental and ego driven. On some level he already knows this to be the case.

He feels new to the dating world. His preference for women is ages 35-50. I think since he's not dating young women in their 20's but older, experienced ones that likely know what they want, he might have better luck.

I have a different approach to life outside of obviously Stupid Risk... Business, Personal.. etc I am not living in a state of Regret so i am a Type A pusher. That's my nature and tone but it doesn't mean i am not sensitive. My work demands sensitivity BUT all of that is face-face with discernible nonverbals.
I still believe he has to get over it, push forward, and do not apologize about it later. I know plenty of later-life married couples that visit both past spouses grave with one another over Easter, Christmas, and Birthdays... The Elder needs some perspective...
