Steve Jobs of Apple Computer was adopted. It is widely believed that his adoption experience contributed largely to his psychological problems. If you were adopted, what was your experience like? Did you feel like you were a part of your adopted family? Did you get treated equally with your non adopted siblings? How had being adopted impacted your life?
It’s usually not the adoption experience, it’s the shit before hand in the care system.
Also age a person is adopted plays a part.
but mainly the care system and if there was trauma linked to being put into the care system.
Which for some countries and states, will be going into melt down.
the friend I am with today was adopted and they are perfectly fine, far more mentally able than me lol

Think about what we would have missed out on if Steve Jobs was aborted rather than given a chance. I’ve got friends at my church adopted brother and sister vet short with genital defects. They seem very happy one writes amazing poetry. I don’t believe adoption is something that can be generalized. Just my opinion.

My uncle adopted me when I was 13 and it was the best thing to ever happen to me! He got me away from my abusive mother and sister. He got me counseling which I needed after what they did to me. He's a kind and loving man.
No, I wasn't adopted (as far as I know).
Thankfully not.
