I am. I remember both my birth parents and I met my birthmom when I was 16. Meeting them is not always as helpful as we think it will be. Many of the questions we have we already know the answers too. It wasn't your fault, there was nothing you did wrong, you couldn't have done anything, me and your mother/father were not a good fit, giving you up was the hardest thing I ever did.
Hopefully these answer some of the questions you have.
I was adopted. I have considered tracking down my birth mother, but I have been told these cases usually don't go well. The gave us up for adoption so they could forget us and move on like it never happened.

I am adopted. I met my biological mother long ago and it was not a good experience. I have a half-sister I speak to on the phone occasionally. My father died before I could meet him sadly.
The best way to meet family is through a DNA service. I really got a lot of info from 23and me, and Ancestry. I prefer 23andme.
No, abandoned, not adopted.
