Why did my Mom kick a football at me on purpose?

My mom kicked a football at me while we were in our yard. She kicked it really hard at me and it hit me in the balls and then she laughed at me? She knew that it hurt me and she laughed and then when I sat on the ground then she asked if I was okay? And my little sister and her friend laughed as well and she didn't even tell them not to. Why would she do this when she knew it was embarrassing and painful?

It's a type of pain that women don't fully understand. I can understand how it would be awkward for them, they don't know what to do to help you, so they end up laughing.
