OK, our mom died when we were young so we lived with our dads but her dad was an abusive piece of shit and when she was a child, he physically abused her and when she was a teen he sexually abused her. I inherited a house from my grandpa and when I was 20 and she was 16, I got the law involved and was able to get her out of that place. Needless to say this stunted her emotional development at age 9. A little while ago, her roommate moved in with her boyfriend and she has bad separation anxiety so I let her move in with me. But she's a bit too affectionate and clingy. She always wants long, tight hugs. When we go out together she insists on holding hands. When we watch TV together she'll sit on my lap. She asks me to rub her back and pet her hair. It feels really awkward but I'm afraid to say anything because she often talks about how safe I make her feel.
I just don't know if I should say something because it could make her upset.
