I had a lot of friends in highschool. Many of them women, some were the amazing girl next door (beautiful, not overly into their looks type) others were the hot I could be a model (way into how she looked type) and of course the were others in-between. I got along with all of them since I was the nerdy kind jocky wide swimmers shoulders and muscles type who love to play games and sports but was also happy to sit and read or sit by a fire kind of guy. A friend told me I was easy going easy to talk to and confide in and easy on the eyes. However throughout highschool no one wanted to go out with me. They all liked me as a friend. It killed me inside, destroyed any confidence I had and made it very hard to trust any woman who wanted to go out with me. Eventually I was introduced to my now wife and we have been happy together ever since.
I prefer friends where benefits may be included in the future and if benefits aren't included just wait till you get distant and start seeing someone else as a decoy and watch the mood towards you change and you'll hear " let's try to make this work"

Yes and both hurt the same , because it sucks when you want someone that gives you the butterflies feelings to find out they donβt want you back the same way , but it happens a lot , so why itβs important to focus on yourself and realize you deserve someone that wants you back the same We canβt force someone to want us or love us all we can do is try and take that chance , itβs better knowing then not knowing is the way I look at it , Having an answer helps yourself move on if that other person doesnβt feel the same way that you do. I hate hearing about relationships that end because 1 partner decided they donβt want the relationship anymore and canβt give a valid reason as to why they fell out of love , leaving the other person with a question mark on their head as to why , those types of people are the biggest selfish pieces of shit on the planet that only really care about themselves , Just be honest with someone itβs better to have an answer then to not have an answer at all , Having an answer helps that other person move on faster , Not giving an answer is a selfish decision. Whether you met someone else or cheated on them etc. Just be honest about it , by being honest helps the other person move on instead of leaving them being constantly depressed and wondering what they did wrong. The problem with most people is itβs hard for them to admit they were wrong , and hard to admit to themselves that they are a piece of shit, itβs always easier for them to play a victim and blame the other for their actions , When someone can finally admit to themselves they were wrong for their actions they will eventually be forgiven , when they canβt admit to their actions they are labeled a piece of shit. We are all imperfect people but when you learn to respect others the same way you want to be respected you will see life in a whole new light , because the thing of it all is you can be forgiven but you will never be forgotten , why itβs best to treat someone the same way you want to be treated whether you fell out of love with them or met someone else , just be honest about it instead of being a selfish piece of shit
If they're honest, then I'm only slightly disappointed. If they're not even good friends, and prove to be heartless backstabbers, then I remember them to be liars. I can think of two gals from 2020. One lives in California. She's a bit weird, but she's sincere. I can't have her for a girlfriend; but I don't mind anymore. I respect her for her dedication to revealing to me how shady government operatives in her state are. She digs up stuff I can't find most places. Very resourceful. And most of it checks out.
Then there was another. She did the whole friendzone routine thing as well. But when I later offered to meet up as a friend, and meet some of her other circles to discuss things, she blew off the suggestion, and said something about dating a dentist who had a pending divorce.
I never asked to go out with her, only to network with her anti-CCP Gnews buddies. And after she blew me off, even though she lives only 2 hours away from me after I moved down, she's been distant. Won't tell me anything. And all her Gnews data has been deleted from her profile. She seems to have taken up knitting or something, and otherwise won't tell anyone anything about herself. So weird! What did she see in me anyway, if she won't say or do anything about it now?
Friendzone or not, I just want to be in the loop enough to know what the deal is. Also, I'm usually okay so long as she isn't spreading lies behind my back. Or being a bully / abuser. If she turns into a veritable snake in the grass, then she gets kicked out of my metaphorical garden.
Yes.
There is this girl I like back then. I was not able to tell her because she likes someone else and I became her "confidante" on her like problems.
Then one day, may friend (our common friend) told her that I like her. She then asked me why I have not told her back then - then I told her the reason.
She said sorry that she only saw me as a friend, and said sorry that she may have hurt me.
I told her that it's ok, no issues. And I asked for some time to accept it. Told her we can still hang out as long as we are in a group, just not together alone for the mean time.
Worked out fine in the end.
I just hoped I handled it well back then. I was like 15 or less that time lol.
I have liked many girls. I don't know about them. Some of them were overly friendly. But I myself never ever crossed that line. Moving out of friendzone myself.
I had gone to college for study lol and I will do only that. Not to do anything of this kind of timepass.
Will have plenty of time afterwards.🙂
I met a special woman when I was younger. But I was too young and immature to see how perfect we were for eachother.
Nah I don't mind if women see me as just a friend. So long as she doesn't lead me on then say she likes me but as a friend.
Lots of times, and then these lovely friends would complain about their boyfriends and tell me that they wished he was more like me. Then you've in "the bro zone," and you can't say anything. Sigh. I would have done anything for a few of them.
Friendzoning sucks, no matter how they say it. And it's also mostly a male-exclusive thing. Women are almost never Friendzoned; they DO the Friendzoning. So I voted C.
I've definitely had my share of unrequited loves in life yes.
Oh Yes! I have met MANY special women who ONLY ever saw me as a friend! FRIEND-ZONED!
Usually, that HURTS more, then just straight telling me up front!
It's the old pull the band-aid off quick vs slowly painfully removing it.
I have, and if that's a relationship you want then it's all good. If you feel longing or downcast by it, then distance is the best option.
As a friend sense you both date each other and there's chemistry but they find a new guy over you
That SUCKS!
@Guardian45 yep
*slowly cries myself to sleep*
Story of my life lol. The best ones are quickly taken or too far away.
I think either way would hurt like hell. Yes I have had this happen a few times.
Ditto
@Guardian45 sucks doesn't it
Yup!
Basically itβs my sentimental life.
Yeah. Both hurt equally.
@joker_ only loves me as a friend
lol "I hate it when my cousin does that"
🤣😂😅🥲
I can't say I have
