My father always scold me?

I don't know why my father and my relatives from other side discourage me. It happens every time I am learning driving and its been just a week and my father would always why its taking so long and discourage me that I am just wasting time and his money. He always compares to other cousin who are about 10-20 years older than me even though I am good in studies than them. The relatives every time I visit would always appreciate each and every cousin and just even though they are older and are doing jobs whereas I am studying. They always tell every good about our cousins to dad in such a manner that they are superior to me. This is making me truly depressed.
