Should my dad yell at me?

i accidentally scratched my car in the Chick-fil-A parking lot. I have a small Hyundai Kona and my dumbass decided to park by two big truck I accidentally scratched my car on the wheel and my dad yelled at me. He cursed me out and he said he was going to give my car away. He told me I’m never going to drive again. I can’t stop crying right now. I’ve been driving for a year and I feel bad because I lost his trust. Please help.

who bought the car? who's name is the car in? i'm guessing your dad for both of those questions. so it's right for him to be upset. i'm not saying it's right for him to yell at you tho, but take it as a lesson to take extra precaution so things like this situation don't happen again. it's okay to make mistakes, don't let your dad get you down. he handled it in a bad way. but just accept the mistake and move on.

yeah it's just tire marking, can go through a car wash and it'll be gone. it's no big deal. if it's in your moms name and she doesn't care, i think your dad is just being an asshole. does your mom know how he's treating you?
