What makes someone a bad friend?

Well I’m a bad friend. I dont keep up with peoples birthdays. I prefer to talk about whats happening in my life more than I question whats going on in theirs. I like to control the group outing choices. I ignore the knocks at the door of those who come over uninvited. I ignore calls/texts more than i answer them, etc. I dont do friendships for a reason. I would see them as more of a school counselor who i seek out on occasion for advice but don't really care to talk to more than that. people really are better off as just being my acquaintance

The number one thing I think is not respecting me, or my needs or my emotions or my views or my time or my money or my effort or my virtue or my desires. Any disrespect is a relationship killer for me.

Think it's based on your own opinion. A couple people I don't consider friends wished me happy birthday. Even GAG wished me happy bday. But that's all they've ever really done so how does one measure one as a good friend to bad friend to me deals with availability and if you both can help each other's situations enjoyably.
