Both apply, I like her from a distance. She's very protective and a loving mother, but the way she is toxic, and is the physical embodiment of a bitter person on gag who ignores all helpful advice and just keeps destroying herself, and then goes mad and sad surprised why she is in that bad position. It was very taxing on my own mental health so I called it quits and just moved out. I've tried talking, bringing dad into it, my siblings, intervention with her friends, hospital, therapy, ... Nothing. Zip. So I'm out. And my siblings did the same.

- she takes my belongings and puts them somewhere else (her housekeeping) without asking
- isn't thankful for how much her son (my partner) is helping her since her husband died a few years ago, instead she complains
- wants others or her son to do the "hard" jobs (even I or my grandma could do them)
- she makes rude comments or asks me questions about private topics which are not her business

I don’t have one but the girl I was planning to marry back when I was high school to early 20s we were together for six years I liked her mom especially when she went in for the public school district

I do! She’s an awesome lady and very easy to talk to. She was actually one of my caretakers when I was in a respite home as a young teen, and when I met my partner and met his mother, we recognised each other instantly.

I absolutely love and adore my mother-in-law, from day one we just completely "gelled" together, and since then have quite simply been "M-I-L & Daughter".
