How many people here use filters when taking their pics for social media? Do you ever feel self-conscious when you see people in public?

What I mean by that is, do you feel uncomfortable if you see people in public, for the first time in years, knowing they only know your face from a doctored picture? I ran into some friends and relatives recently at a wedding, it was actually shocking how I recognized very few of them from the pictures I see of them on social media. One cousin in particular, is always posting current pics but when I saw her, I hate to say it, she looked BAD! Nothing like her pictures. So it had me wondering, do these people feel awkward when seen in public by people for the first time in years, knowing they look absolutely nothing like the pictures they post? Or do they just not really think about it? I know I would feel awkward if it was me.

I only use filters for fun, like age regression ones. I don't use them at all in my profile pictures.
