Wasn't this guy right in never speaking to his daughter again?

He disowned her but not really. He still left money for her and her kids (his grandchildren he never met) on his will before dying. He just had no letter written for her and nothing to say.

Short-story:

The woman's mother cheated on her father with his best friend John, those two scumbags raised her since she was 8 but the father still was in her life. It's 2017 and the woman is getting married and her father pays for the weeding. However, the day before her wedding she informs her father that John will be walking her down the aisle instead. The father is furious, doesn't attend the wedding and never wants to see nor speak to his daughter again, disowning her.

I imagine my father reacting the same way too if I ever did something horrible like that. So basically the woman wanted her father to attend her wedding and seat down while watching the man that destroyed his marriage (that betrayed him, the one his wife cheated with) walk her down the aisle.

That woman made me look like an saint in comparing to her. I didn't always get along with my father, esp not in my late teens (early 20's) but damn, I can't imagine ever doing that to him. That's just something that should never be crossed.

Yes chills ran down when I read he died without speaking to his daughter. All the way until his last dying breath, he refused to speak to her. But I can't feel sorry for her. My father would've likely reacted the same if I ever did something like that.
