There was this girl who called her boyfriend daddy. As soon as her dad figured it out he jumped to the conclusion that his daughter was into him and cut all ties with his daughter. He never talks to her. He’s genuinely DISGUSTED by her. She feels so betrayed and sad that her dad did this to her. They had a loving relationship up until that minute.

That's a real messed up situation man. On one hand, I can see why that would freak the dad out to hear. Calling your boyfriend "daddy" is weird and could be taken the wrong way for sure.

But to totally disown your own kid over it without even talking to her first? That's pretty harsh dude. Like, he don't even know the full story - maybe there's an explanation ya know? And she's still his daughter at the end of the day.

I dunno, if it was me I'd wanna give her a chance to explain herself before throwing away their whole relationship. A loving dad should at least hear her out. Cutting all ties like that, that's cold as ice.

Maybe he was just freaked in the moment but that's still his little girl. She's obviously real hurt by it too. I'd say the dad should try talking to her for real and get all the facts before disowning forever, you know? It just ain't right to abandon family like that without trying to understand. There's gotta be a better way to work it out.
