I was 21, sadly I had so many complications, and my own Mother had to choose whom to save me or my daughter, that before I even woke up from surgery the same day I had my daughter they had already tied my tubes, and had a Court Ordered paper waiting on me for when I got out of recovery from Surgery.

  Well when I was young I wanted to be able to afford it (I was SCARED of not being able to and my dad told me, maybe he was joking, maybe he was not, at 19, that if I ever got pregnant, that he'd kick me out of the house!). I also didn't just want to get pregnant by any old Tom, Dick or Harry! I wanted to make sure that the guy I became pregnant with wasn't abusive, or a bad person, a loser, immature or irresponsible, etc!
  
  I guess you guys were either lucky in that you had both or just didn't care and wanted kids young so that it was easier as you say!

  @TenderFantasy yeah unfortunately my parents kicked me out when my son was 2 months old but I luckily was able to move into my in laws house if I agreed to watch their younger kids which I didn't mind. Once I was 19-20 tho me and my husband were well off living on our own so we had our second then

  @matchrestore not exact healed more just ignored. Basically just have a relationship where we talk on the phone and do small visits that are based just on them seeing the kids. I'm thankful to live far away so I don't have to deal with them in person often. Like they're my parents and I love them but the things they did were unforgivable. (There was more then just kicking out but I won't go into detail)

  Try being 38 with none. I feel like I missed out but it's not like I could have controlled WHEN I would meet Mr. Right. I guess I was too picky or something? I don't know. I just wanted maybe to repeat what my parents gave me. A stable childhood and marriage!
