Less. I'm not particularly impressed by either of my parents. My dad is like... My dad is the epitome of the kinda smart guy that just underachieved in everything throughout life because he thought he was too cool for school. The sad part is that he really has been involved in some interesting stuff, but he just doesn't seem to want credit for things. It's very odd.
My mom is a tremendously beautiful woman who has never been able to see anything beyond what's in front of her eyes, if that makes any sense. She has no vision.
We we are products of our parents. We can change our perspective in life by changing our views and attitude. It can be for good or for you bad. We are still a product of our parents we can make changes ourselves to improve. It's what you want to do with your life.
I am very much like my parents. More like my mother then I would like to be.

Much, much, much, much x100 less. About the only thing I'd have like is to be as successful as my father was. Otherwise, shove the lot of it overboard.
@letuswaltzforthedead -- thank you very much for the like. I appreciate that. Wasn't expecting that but much appreciated.
Truly fascinating that I have dislikes and disagrees. I'm okay with that -- I appreciate that people can disagree and dislike here on GaG. Again, though, I'm fascinated that someone dislikes me saying I don't want to be like my parents.
My mother was a chain-smoking alcoholic. Literally. She never gave hugs, she never gave encouragement, and she used me as a pawn in her acrimonious fight with my dad when they got divorced. She asked me to spy on him and report on him and his second wife. And having sex in the living room with a 65 year old guy while your 11 year old is in the den watching cartoons isn't something I want to emulate. She was cold and manipulative and made life miserable to be around. Not sleeping because you're scared of your mom isn't a great life.
My father was never home. The jury is out as to whether it was "he's earning for the family" or it was affairs, or he just didn't like being a husband and father. But he wasn't home. He wasn't warm. Again, no hugs and no encouragement. No approval for anything. He cheated on mom at least once and then walked out on all of us. Sent mom into a downward spiral and left us hanging. He was, counterintuitively, a brilliant manager and leader and executive with keen business acumen and he was far more successful at his career that I will ever be.
So, do I want to be more like my parents? Absolutely not. Way less. If I'm less successful than my dad, but my kids know that I love them and they have hugs and one day they can say that "dad wasn't rich or successful, but he encouraged me" and my wife can say, "he's an overweight guy with a lot of flaws but he loves me unconditionally and took care of me, my needs, and our family' then I'm perfectly okay not being one iota not like my parents.
People just like to judge I guess, even without knowing the other person's perspective. Not everyone's parents are the same. It's not wrong for people to not want to be like their parents sometimes
Sadly we really don’t have a choice , comes down to genetics , so no matter what we all stem down from our parents one way or another , it is what it is , we can fight it but it’s there lol
That photo is so pretty its almost frustrating.
Anyway I want to stay like myself, which so far isn't like anyone in my family, or anyone that I've met (aside from a few people online, none of which were in the US).
I wish I could be more like my dad was. He could practically fix any engine for home use or yard use. 👍🙂. Neighbors and family wanted him to fix their stuff because he fixed it better than repair shops do. 👍🙂
I’m so confused… how does that pic corollary with that question? Hot but what?…
Depends, I'm not a pacifist and I don't think I want to be
I look at a lot of what my parents did and I tried to do the opposite.
more i guess. i hardly disagree with any of their life choices.
Both of my parents are deceased! So I am not yet ready to be like them.
Best thing my parents ever taught me: to avoid becoming like them
I am like my dad. My family says I'm a spitting image of my dad
You look hot in that picture
Less, I've already done everything opposite to my father and we'll my mother isn't all bad beyond being a bit of a spendthrift
My parents are a model for any healthy relationship
If I'm ever 1/10th what my father was I'm a great success.
Only like one of them.
Very much so I look up to both my parents.
I would like to be less
I want to be absolutely nothing like my parents
More in some ways, less in others
Much, much less.
I will never want to be anything like them.
I don't see them as role models
less my parents are so mean to me
Nothing like them.
Definitely less than both parents.
Less

Less please
Bring it home baby
