Epidurals don’t always work because if the hospital is over crowded you might have an unplanned home birth and some women give birth so quickly the hospital does not get around to giving them epidurals before the baby comes out. Also I heard from a father of a child the nurses might make a mistake when they inject the needle so that half or both sides of the body still hurt after the epidural and the epidural itself hurts a lot because it’s administered in a painful area that cannot be pre blocked from needle pain.
I've had both natural and epidural. And natural is much easier. The only reason I got a epidural is cuz they gave me pitocin which made contractions unbearable. If I had to choose I'd do natural every time.
Also I've never pushed with the epidural working at the end so I was lucky to do so I could feel the baby coming out. I've heard women with full epidurals tear cuz they can't feel the baby coming out. So they def ain't a good thing in my opinion
No, I would want it with an epidural. Period cramps are already annoying and bad enough. I can't imagine a pain 100x worse than that.
