Should you always love your parents as an adult? Or is there justified reasons to cut contact?

Recently old trauma resurfaced as I crawled out of a low frequency cycle of living. I started investing in myself, not consuming social media for hours, and I found out the fuzz in my head was trying to run away from old childhood wounds.

I know what happened, I know why everything happened, I was failed, it wasn’t my fault that I couldn’t succeed without support, it’s ok if I wasn’t strong at the time , I wasn’t supposed to be , but I am strong now, I’m who I’m supposed to be.

it’s been on mind lately that I never got an apology for the time my mother dropped me off on a busy street in the morning where I got hit by a car at 13 years old in front of Everyone at my highschool , she saw it and all my sisters saw it.
thinking back it’s so embarrassing, that’s so abusive , and recovery was painful as I did break a bone that no one would take me to the dr for.

All I remember was being blamed for jaywalking and oh you’re just so stupid. Nahh stupid is dropping your child on a street where cars are going 60 mph just because you’re trying to shave off 5 min on your commute.
she still hates me, she still wants my money. She be the one doing little curses wishing that I struggle with hardships.

if you love your parents, please let them know this holiday, it’s just so beautiful to me.
