No only for school work and I would be supervising at all times when my kids are in social media. Now a days things are crazy how people want to doctrine our kids. I also don't allowed video games. I don't understand how parents my generation just allowed the kid to used the table. I mean I've seen babies with tablets bigger then their head. No. As a Christian mom it concerns me how this world has become. I mean a kids show blue's clues was gloryfing gay , trans parade. I am going to get a lot of hate from my generation. But as a Christian we need to raised and teach our kids. Not expected for someone else to do it for us.

I just have to agree with @msc545 because he's right
guidance is best in this case, and in our case personally, we do monitor the very few socials the use, and they never use them with their real personal info either
also, it is mostly used to keep in touch with people they actually know and we are aware of, engaging with strangers from anywhere in the world is especially taken care of/monitored
