Why are some people so touchy?

I don’t like being touched by someone I don’t know well. Really I only have enjoyed being touched by women I’m in a relationship with. Really is the only time I enjoy being touched.

I don’t want to be a dick to people and I know that many people don’t mean ang harm. I don’t even like shaking hands. You see how many people use the bathroom and don’t wash their hands. As well as the feeling someone is going to attack me.

I don’t understand why even strangers sometimes are just super touchy and irs like they have no boundaries with people. I just ir makes me cringe when people touch me. I know it sounds harsh but it is how it is

it's a cultural thing, depending on the country/region. South Americans are the loudest and closest in personal interactions, Japanese the quietest and most distanced (bows instead of handshakes). I usually have no problems to adapt, I just don't particularly like being kissed by strangers, which sometimes happens in Italy, France or Spain.
