How can a mother of a newborn be so active on GaG?

Having a newborn is like constantly waiting for the next diaper change and the next feeding. There is plenty to keep you busy with a baby, but there is also a lot of in-between time.

GaG and most other things online are a good way to do something in short sessions while you wait for the baby to start crying again because it has poopy diapers. Change the diaper then go back the GaG for a short while until the next time.

You have to be there constantly, but you don't have to be attending to the baby constantly.

Newborn babies sleep- a LOT. But they don't sleep consistently. So while you can't really go out and do things on your own, you CAN type out answers to questions, especially since there's no real-time commitment required; you can start typing, get called away by the baby's cries, see to its needs, have it doze off, them come back and resume typing.

Frankly, I'd think it's older kids that require more attention; a newborn's needs are more urgent, but less constant.

Because she probably is on maternal leave... duh? Don't most mothers with newborns get maternity leave for at least 4 months? Where I live, that's usually the case.

My mum had my grandmothers to help them with me, so... a mother need not be the only one to take care of a child.

Newborns don't do much more then sleep most of the day then nurse for a bit every few hrs. Leaves a new mother with a lot of time to do nothing wouldn't you think?

I'm much more active online when I have a newborn since I'm up all hours of the night and breastfeeding gets boring so it's easy to watch TV/be online during that time. Newborns are easy compared to caring for older childern

Newborns are not difficult. Sleep, eat, poop. If the child is nearby she can change diapers, etc., and still post on here frequently. When the baby starts crawling and the walking it will be different.
