Is it normal to wish for my first child to be a baby girl instead of a boy?

Meanwhile several other men probably would like to have a baby boy when they become dads for the first time, I would like a baby girl.

In the end it's still my child either way but it would be great if it was a girl. Is this normal to wish for my first child to be a girl instead of a boy?

I like the idea of spoiling her a lot (off course with boundaries but there is a difference in the treatment of a boy vs a girl), buying her dresses. I tend to have a soft spot for girls.

It's not uncommon. Just remember to love and care for whatever you DO get when the time comes, and you'll do fine.

Yes its normal. I have 4 sons and my husband is dying for a daughter cuz he's tired of our son's being mamas boys

I would hope so, I've seen a lot of guys who prefer a son but I've also seen a few who want a daughter too
