Do you have any fun stories of your pet/pets?

Question

What are some funny, cute, endearing or weird things that your pet/pets specifically have/had about them? Most of us who have or had pets know that, every pet has a different personality, and something special about them that makes them, THEM. I myself had a cat named Jade. Her name was inspired by her HUGE green eyes… and she was the biggest goofball ever. If I could describe her in one sentence, it would be ”the cutest bully ever” hahaha She LOVED bullying the humans in the house, and what I mean by that is, she would for example always wait for my dad to start walking to his desk, and as soon as she sees him heading over there, she would RUN and hop up on his chair and REFUSE to move… even if he tried picking her up or pushing her off, she would fight him and of course, she would win… Jade would hide behind chairs and tables, and whenever we would walk by, she would jump out and try to catch our feet, and always managing to make someone jump and scream hahaha But despite those playful moment, she was the cutest little creature ever… Jade LOVED cuddles, and if she wanted attention, she would absolutely make sure she got it even if you’re in a zoom meeting… and yes, she did jump onto my laptop during a zoom meeting in the middle of an examined seminar and started meowing until I gave her cuddles, and even my professor couldn’t help but chuckle at her cuteness…

We had a dog when i was a kid. Sweetest dog ever unless he had a sock.

Some reason he loved socks.

If he got a sock he defended it like it was a life or death situation.

So my dad tried to get it from him and he lost it.

My dad thought it funny and got him cornered trying to get.

He got on all fours and was able to grab it.

They had a tug of war going until the dog lost grip with his teeth.

The dog chased after him barking and growling🤣

The rest of the day, i swear he had an attitude with my dad over that sock 🤣

She had a wonderful life. Beautiful.
One of my childhood friends cats would do that as I walked home. She would run after me looping my ankles to try and stop me. Made me tear up every time so much effort was put in. Such a sweetie.

Most funny stories are at his expense 😅 also a bit of an owner fail. I must preface this with the vet was consulted and walked me through everything.

So I’m a full time student and I work in health care; specifically home care. Back in early December I was balancing both and didn’t have a day off for almost 4 weeks. As a result my dog wasn’t getting the exercise he needed. He was bored and he got my roommates edible. Her 60mg edible. I had to induce vomiting, and then put him on kennel rest for about 6 hours until he was better.

My previous cat, Loki, used to get angry whenever I would feed the other cat we had that was originally a stray. He used to cling onto my leg and would scratch the shit out of me, almost bad enough to send you to the hospital. There was one time specifically, in the beginning when our stray cat we found first came around, I went outside to feed him and my mom had Loki and they were peaking out the door, and Loki saw that and was pissed, almost like a possessive boyfriend.

When I came back in, I was talking to him as normal, but he looked at me like he was ready to send me to the grave. He was walking up to me slowly and I got scared and ran into another room and he followed me into that room, slowly. When he got into the room, he saw me on the bed and was about to go around to the other side and climb up there and fuck knows what he would have done to me had my mom not thrown a blanket over his face and let me get back to my room. I shut and locked the door so he couldn't get in and decided to sit in there until he cooled down. When he was following me up the hall, it's like he was speaking to me in his little cat language and he sounded so pissed. That was the last time I fed other cats in front of him lmao...

I know he loved me, but that was taking it to obsessive level.

My sister had a thin, long hair cat with exquisite coloring. She carried herself almost elegantly. My sister gave her a very prissy name too. It suited her appearance.
One time, at band camp, i was walking through the house and happened to glance out of the window into the backyard. I saw the cat crouched close to the ground and creeping forward very slowly, obviously hunting. I start scanning the yard for her target, expecting to detect a field mouse or chipmunk or small bird. Instead i see a fully grown hare, with a strong twenty yards of lead on its predator. The conclusion of this “hunt” was forgone in my mind, but i watched with curiosity and humor. The hare detects the cat when the distance is closer to fifteen yards, and takes off full speed. I didn’t even expect the cat to chase, but she did. I definitely didn’t think she could catch up to the hare, but she did. Before that moment i would have argued to the death that that prissy little house cat would be killed by a full grown hare in a fight for its life. In fact, the instant i saw the cat catch the hare, i ran for the door expecting to have to rescue my sister’s poor, dumb but pretty kitty. By the time i was in the yard, the cat was dragging a dead hare toward the house. Doing a silly wide, straddling walk because her catch was so big. She dropped it right at my feet, as if to say, “Look what i brought you, mortal. Say ‘thank you’.”. Ell oh ell!
If i hadn’t seen it for myself, i’d call the teller of this tale a liar to their face without hesitation. I’ve never underestimated a house cat since though!

One morning as my mother, little sister and I were leaving the house to go to school my mother stopped at the top of the stairs and out her arms out to block my sister and I.

(Our small cat nor deterred and carried on down to the driveway)

Before I could ask what was wrong, I saw a HUGE black bear come out from behind the trashcans at the top of the driveway…mere feet away from our beloved cat. (She was already declawed when we found her, so she was defenseless)

We held our breath as it approached her…she acted like nothing was different and paid the bear no mind.

Until it sniffed her…

She gave that giant bear one good clawless slap on the nose and it ran for it’s life…

She walked away with her tail straight up in the air like nothing happened.

My cat likes to sit on the back of my chair at the desk I work at at home. And watch over my shoulder. Back in March 2020 I was interviewing for a new job. Six hours of interviews. All of them online with video on. The cat stared over my should  glaring  at every interviewer. I moved her each time before each new interviewer and each time she came back. I was CERTAIN I wouldn't get the job but, phew, I did. And still she sits on the back of my chair.

I love to dance. 💃 I studied ballet and was in the school's dance club for years. I don't know why but when I was 5 I thought my fish also liked to dance. So I would take it out of it's aquarium and put it on the table because I thought it was jumping because it was breakdancing, not because die.

I don't have a cat or pets but there a stray kitten that I would feed and give water on the porch she grew into a small cat. She comes toy porch when she hunger so I heated up some link sausage. I used to have a cat that only liked bojangles chicken. He would turn his nose up to any other chicken. Every time we had it for dinner he would walk around the table then sit at stare up at you. He'd keep doing that until he got some.
