What are some funny, even hilarious things your pet does or did?

I once lived in a Southern State at the beginning of a green belt (which is a lot of greenery and creeks that is owned by the government so no one can build on the property). My cat, 🐈 Miss Abby, had this huge area to go potty in. But nooo! She would come to the door, cry until we let her inside, walk over to her pretty pink potty box and do her business. Then she'd turn right around and cry to go back outside. She had this huge area to go potty anywhere she wanted but being the girl that she was, she was a lady and wouldn't mess up the yard..

Now, if she was inside and crying to go outside, I would ask my then 10 year old son to open the door for her. So he'd go and open the door but she would just look at him and turn around and stay in the house. Rinse and repeat! She used to drive him crazy because she would only go outside for me and not him. 🤭

We had a kitty named Rosie who would play tag.
She'd crouch down and I would pat her firmly a few times on her haunch, then run away. She would immediately spin around, chase me and tackle my leg. Then I would turn and she'd look at me like "Oh shit!" and run away with me right behind her. She'd stop, crouch, and I'd pat her again.
Back and forth we would go until she got tired.
She's do it with my wife too.

Sometimes Rosie would issue a challenge by standing on her back toes while hugging the corner of a wall and turning her head to look at me like a psycho killer.
I'd pretend to be scared and run away. She's chase me.
Sometimes I would go around a corner and wait to surprise her. When she came after me, I would raise my arms threateningly and chase her.
We'd go back and forth a few times.

Sometimes I would creep up and peek at her from behind a corner or piece of furniture. When she saw me, I'd duck out of sight. Each time I peaked out, she would have crept closer in stalk mode and her wide eyes would be on me like laser beams.

I did that one time behind the sofa when she was on the floor. When I peaked out the second time, she had moved right up to the foot of the sofa with her ears flattened to the sides and her eyes barely peeking over the top of the cushion.
When I peaked out again, I was eye and eye with the little monster and she instantly whacked me hard one my head. It surprised the heck out of me.
I still laugh over that.

She was playing, though, and didn't used claws. She didn't bite or scratch.

We have a cat right now named Coco. We let her out during the day. But there are times when she sits outside the door begging to come in. When we let her in, she rushes straight to her litter box. And it's like you said, the outdoors is a giant litter box. LOL Cats!

Harry knew that he was not allowed to jump up on the kitchen counter. When he wanted to go outside sometimes I would ignore him if I was busy doing something. That is when he would jump up on the kitchen counter to piss me off so I would kick him out.

Better let me out or I jump on the kitchen counter

Do you remember how, in the Peanuts cartoons, Snoopy would run up to Linus, grab his blanket and go zipping around the yard super fast? We used to have a dog named, Zippy, for just that reason. We'd be out back just wandering around in the yard and if I suddenly jumped into an attack stance, facing her, she'd get into one, too! I'd have my arms out in front of me as if I was about to come after her, my legs bent and spread apart and I'd walk really slowly towards her, she'd be completely flat on the ground with her paws stretched our in front of her, her jaw on the ground looking at me and her ass high in the air! She'd let me get only so close before she'd jump into action! I'd slowly creep up to her very menacingly saying in a gruff voice, "I'm gonna get you!" and, all of a sudden, she'd TAKE OFF LIKE A SHOT and zip ALL OVER the yard at top speed making these sharp zig-zag patterns all over the yard!! I'll bet she was EASILY going 10 or 20 MPH!! Then, all of a sudden, she'd stop dead and get back into her attack position and wait for me to creep up on her again! sometimes, I'd creep up and then, suddenly, jump a few inches closer and she'd take off again!
Other times, if I was lying on the floor in the house during a tickle fight with dad, if I was face down, she''d straddle me and keep trying to like my face!
When she died, we "replaced" her with Sammi and when she died, we got Murphy. Both of whom were like my girlfriend. If I was sitting on the porch steps by myself, someone inside would let her out and she'd run right up to where I was sitting, shove her nose under my arm, push her way through, plop her ass on the porch so close to mine that she'd practically knock me over and then lean into me and there I'd be, sitting with my arm draped around her shoulders like she was my girlfriend!! I wish real women would do that!
I don't know if Sammi did it but, Murphy would, sometimes, sleep on her back with her legs wide open, the queen of modesty! I wish real women did that.

One night, we had the fireplace going and Murphy was sleeping directly in front of it (just to the left of where I am when I took the bottom picture. I think the top picture is her eating an ice cube in the kitchen.). I don't know if a spark flew out and landed on her ass or if it was just her reacting to a dream but, she was dead asleep and I'm just watching t. v., or whatever and, all of a sudden, she SHOT across the living room and all the way up to the second floor in literally 3 seconds flat!!
The day we met what was about to become Rusted Root, we were asked to play a benefit gig for a friend of ours in this park out in the boonies and we were supposed to spend the night but, I couldn't because it was right next to a creek and, if I camped out next to that, I'd wake up with a nasty cold!! So, Jenn Wertz and a friend of hers from Hawaii were leaving and drove me back to civilization where I could stay in my house. Well, my bass player decided to bring her dog, Oink, to the sleep over. Dogs just naturally love me so, I was wandering around near the creek and Oink followed. On the edge of this creek was a full grown tree that fell over a number of years before and started to grow upward about 8 or 10 feet up the trunk so, I was able to just walk up the trunk to where the branches started growing upwards. Below me, on the surface of the creek, where thousands of leaves that were held in place by the roots of this tree. They covered an area at least 8 feet into the creek and about 5 or 6 feet wide. Oink is on the shore about 6" above water level barking her head off excitedly, because she wants to follow me up the tree but is too scared to do so. I'm sitting on a branch of the tree over the creek going, "Come on, Oink! Come on!". She's dancing around because she's not sure what to do but WANTS to follow me! Apparently, she sees the leaves in the creek thinking it's dry land and decides to make the jump over to where I am and falls straight through the leaves and into the creek!! It was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen and I'm so busy laughing my ass off that I can't go down to try to help her get out!! She made her way out on her own and just shook off like it was nothing. I KNEW she couldn't come up into the tree but I had NO idea she was gonna jump onto what she thought was land!!

I'm not sure this meets the bar for funny or hilarious, but my cat will jump up on my desk during the work day, lay on my keyboard, and glare at me. Saying "you're working too much". "Pet me."

Alternately, she'll spend the day on the back of my chair literally watching over my shoulder.

Lucky you’re not dead funny happened back in December. My dog managed to sniff out my friends edible. 60mg. And ate it. I had to induce vomiting and he was high for the day. (Yes the vet was called, consulted and told me what to do)


And normal funny is just him, he’s a goofball we go for an offleash walk he’s going to drop and roll like a weirdo; he’s done this when I’m right next to him too and I get taken out at the knees. His zoomies are funny, his howls are funny, and demanding. I actually have a video of his howling in agreement before getting a toy. He broke the terms and conditions of his contract though.

My cats favorite place is on the heater when the door beside is is open and its freezing outside. He doesn't like us closing the door and going outside is not and option when he's sitting on the heater. Same thing with eating, open door, not outside, and not closed door but eating beside the open door. Also keyboards he loves keyboards, sitting laying, stepping on them, especially when I need to use it for work. The only exception for this is when I use my webcam, than he likes to stand in front of that.

Your story is common with female dogs. It can cause problems when owners take them on holiday and they don't have access to their favourite toilet.

There's a shallow stream near me that runs under a low road bridge. Water dogs like spanials absolutely love sitting under it and refuse point blank to come out. It's great watching their owners going crazy.

Our dog (a she) likes to take socks and slippers to her mat and guard them. She doesn't hurt them, just likes to protect them.
