I've been shy and quiet my entire life but I'm so sick of it. It feels like I can't talk and I never know what to anymore. I'm literally like a ghost in the background that nobody knows or cares about. This is so annoying and I don't want to be like this anymore!!

Talk stories with your soccer pals. I did that in accordance with a speaking course at 15. I was very shy, good-looking, timid, assumed gay kind of shy... Speak in four sentences like a full thought out expression.
You could try to talk to your mates about something from daily life
I try, but sometimes it feels like people don't wanna talk since I'm always quiet... :/

Yeah that would be easier, I usually do when I know I share the same interest but when I don't know I'm always lost.
