This is a hard thing to say. I had female friends and sometimes the friendship could get a little confusing. Sometimes I would get confused or sometimes she would get confused. I never would end the friendship[ because of it.

That is the problem. She can not leave the friendship because of her feelings, and he's not letting her leave. He cut the contact to a minimum saying he is very busy and doesn't have much time, but when she stops calling, he reaches out to her. Always using that one thing that bonds them (music) as an excuse for making her stay. Always telling her how that friendship is a lifetime friendship and that they have all the time in the world for that. All that just makes her want to stay even more.

I would definitely not be leaving her for the wife.
And no I am not married but one of my friend married his cousins and he is still friends with this gorgeous girl. They are not physically cheating or anything but he talks to her whenever he is away from his wife.
I don't think it is anything wrong especially if the two are not sleeping together

@asker you are at that age where neither might have kids or anything so that's not even supposed to make a problem. I think you're really his lover and best friend. There is obviously no physical attraction in the way that people might bash you. They shouldn't be bashing you or him if you two are friends :).

Not If she confessed feelings for me while I was in a relationship. If I was single, then as long as she respected the fact that I don't feel the same, I see no reason to end the friendship. It's a harmless crush. She will find someone else & get over it.
