What makes a person a snob?

I am actually quite the opposite of a snob. I tend to be quiet and accepts the fact that everyone can have an opinion about others (good or bad)... I would like to know what are the things that makes one to be perceived as a snob. Thanks for your help.

I don't know why but many people around me think I'm a snob... hence my question. I would like to know what to do so that they understand that I'm just a quiet shy person and definitely not a snob.

Being very judgmental, if someone doesn’t live by your own rules or standards then you think they’re worthless. Looking down on everyone else, thinking you’re gods gift and thinking you’re better than everyone. Essentially just believing that your way of living is the only right way, and if no one else lives that same way then you look down on them as if they’re a peasant, and having a big ego.

Rejecting things/places/people due to a sense of being better than or deserving more than it/them.


For example, if someone refuses to eat pizza because poor people also eat pizza, that’s snobby behavior.
