Yes and no. We each had our own problems that we tried to work out, but all of us have done well with ourselves. All but the two youngest are retired. My oldest brother was a banker, my older sister a psychotherapist, my younger brother a custodian at a school, my younger sister a law secretary and I was a special ed teacher. We had trouble at home with my father, who was not well in his mind (that's putting it mildly). So, the fact that we all survived him, and managed to deal with life's struggles later, is an accomplishment in itself.

They haven’t accomplished much but I still love them, respect them and be proud of them. They’ve done soo much to make me this woman I am today. They gave me love, support, attention and anything they can do to make me live a good life as a kid.

Apart from my Nan who is an angel

My mum didn’t want me nor did my father
He just abused me and my mum did nothing to stop it.

All my aunts and uncles are pieces of s**t and are all dead to me.

So no I’m not proud of my family I’m ashamed of them.

When I was younger, I could not appreciate the struggle of my parents and grandparents.

I kind of feel bad that I was not able to tell my father that before he passed, he was my hero. That everything I have now, is because of him and my mother.

I'm sorry. But I'm sure he is looking down upon you, and knows now and definitely proud of the man you are.

Yes! And no. Yes! We made it through all wars, tragedy, racism, discrimination, dictatorship and really really tuff life.

No! As soon they acomplish one thing! They get super lazy and keep on talking about their one mega accomplishment that they did 17 years ago.

I am pretty proud of my family! There are times when I wonder why we are all so weird or what we are all doing that is so wrong… but then I get that shinny glimmer and it is all good again!

Proud of my family? No, I don't know them enough or sometimes too much. Some members still did accomplish interesting things, in the field of agriculture for instance, and in craftsmanship.

Yeah, for the most part. I don't really have any celebrities in my family, but at least we're all normal. No one is a criminal or an addict, which is good!
