Do you feel like your parents are proud of you? Or are you a disappointment?

I think about this a lot. Wondering how others feel.

I have never bothered to ask them whether they are proud of me, of what I study, of what I have accomplished or anything else.

We tend to be rather held back when it comes to expressing the feelings and I am exactly the same. I never show my feelings and I know my siblings are the same.

It is not really important because that does not change who you are and what you are doing.

There’s always that little voice in my head that says my parents think I’m a disappointment. If I ask them, of course they say that’s not true at all, so why not take them at their word and tell that little voice to fuck off? Works out for me lol
