Can a woman be a gold-digger even after she is married?

My mom who qualifies as a gold-digger in every category refuses to accept it saying that she is married to my dad and therefore has a right over everything.

She looks down on other people who have worked hard when she hasn't worked at all in her life. Yet she thinks she deserves everything as she's married to my dad who treats her horribly.

Sounds like they're perfect for each other. But yes, you can absolutely be a gold digger while married. My mother in law is like that; burning through my father in laws money. She goes further, pushing her daughters to follow in her shoes. My wife refuses and is ostracized as such. Her sister bounces from failed relationship to failed relationship, always having to give up her house or car because the new guy didn't make enough and kicks her out. It was sad, but now it's funny.
