I really hate and resent my adhd child normal or not ?

I wanted an abortion immediately when I found out I was pregnant mainly because I always thought kids were brats and I didn’t want a baby by him or any man. He denied me the abortion money that he did have, I asked other people who didn’t have it and I didn’t have it and my insurance didn’t cover it. Fast forward my kid is now a toddler and no longer 2, he’s 3 and definitely has signs of adhd. I’m so over it!! Imagine being over 35 with a child single parenting them, the dad is a deadbeat (not that I want him I just want help with the child from hell) and lastly the kid has a disorder that has ruined my life and happiness. I wish I could’ve miscarried 💯

You didn’t have to have an abortion. You could’ve adopted him out. I’ve never been one to say that just because they’re your kid you must love, bond and, like them. I never bonded with my son and if that makes me a bad person then so be it. At least I’m honest and strong enough to admit it. I always hear parents say they can’t imagine life without their kids and I never understood that because I could imagine it and it was a very fine life I imagined. If I could do it all over no I never would have kids and I’m sorry I ever did

As far as him being a deadbeat that’s your fault. You can get court ordered child support. I paid mine

Hmm you're saying you're not happy and the kid is ruining your happiness. Can you give further explanation as to why?

What would you be doing instead, if you didn't have the kid? Going to bars and clubs instead for example? Do you really want to do that in your late 30s? Are you able to give further detail?

Kids are sponges... little guy may be absorbing all this bad emotion and he's not stable.

Therapy for both, prayer, meditation. if you can afford massages.

This is a great example of how things can go bad that people should read.

I'm hoping you can turn the lemon into lemonaide. I see how much work kids are and you are really going to have to be the parent and grown up. Maybe you can find an outlet for your stress elsewhere, and be the parent at home.

Find good mentors for him and role models, maybe martial arts or outlets he can grow from, try to build a solid family unit in spite of the difficulty. speak well of dad and try to work it out, it's reality. Dad should speak well of you. You make the family, you can do it!

Resentment is a natural human emotion. You have the right to feel angry. Don't deny the anger. Work through it with someone.
