Is my father living in his dreams, fantasies?

He looked at my old BA degree that's been on the wall for nothing. He was like ''look you're BA degree, wow'' as if it was some great achievement. I'm not even working on my major and money was wasted for nothing. Well he repeated 8th grade 2-3 times and only assisted his 1st year of college, never graduated because he never passed math classes; so I know where he's coming from but depending on the major a college degree is basically a certificate of completion, that's all.

Secondly, he really thinks at the age of 35 I can magically meet my American guy by doing this: going to a Starbucks coffee shop, be on my lap and read a book and the guy will show up. Then I can quickly establish a relationship and get married less than a year and have kids. He really believes that fantasy can happen; that the guy will randomly show up at my table and go from there.

He's in his late 60's by now and talks about going on trips in the near future or other unrealistic achievements. My mother thinks he's living in his dreams? Is he? I know he would've wanted the best for me obviously but is he being unrealistic?

Another thing:
He really believes I can make my own big call center company base on what I'm working (phone translation). I'm exhausted after work and I'm going to be in the mood to make a business of antoher a call center (a business of my job, lol), be stuck at just calling? Usually your job is different from your own business. Lastly, I don't have enough money to make a huge business.
