Homicidal fantasies about my dad?

Well, I hate my dad, I don't know but, I sometimes have... homicidal fantasies about him, I just, HATE him, should I go to a doctor about this or something?

you should definitely seek professional help. I know how you feel about hating your dad, I hate mine too but I don't fantasize like you do. I just yell and fight a lot with him and its gotten to a violent point before. I understand how you feel, and I've been seeing a therapist on and off for years and it does help, but it hasn't made me hate him any less, but that's probably because my dad keeps ruining my life every time I start to get over things. but all in all, seeing a therapist and talking about your problems will help you out a lot and just make you feel better. no matter what happens though, just make sure you try to be calm around him and act like the bigger,better person because you'll leave him feeling like an idiot.

YES! go to a doctor, a therapist or even a priest. sometimes just talking about things and having someone you trust listen to you and make some professional notes helps and goes a long way. not to be nosey but why do you hate him>? you say your a calm person but have so much hate for someone who brought you into this world, was there a fight or something? Yeah, you should see a doctor. Or maybe you just need to wait until you go to college and can't wait to come home because you miss your parents, a home cooked meal, and your own bed. Also, it's generally not a good idea to write about how you want to kill someone on the internet because if your dad does wind up mysteriously dead guess who's gonna look really guilty?

I like my mum, just my dad. My dad doesn't cook, clean, or make money, he just sits there, in the house all day, being a fat prick. I see him when I go to school, when I get home, and when I go to sleep.

No, that's not it at all, he's also annoying, every time I do something or say something he disagree's and moans. Such as, I started weight lifting, he started moaning saying I'm going to take steroids and stuff, my brother also wishes this.

see help asap. I was in therapy already and I still tried to kill my dad. Seriously homocidal fantasies about someone you have steady contact with are not good and can very easily end badly. All it takes is on areguement and next thing you know you have a knife in your hands and he's pushing chairs in your way to keep from getting stabbed. look, everyone has thoughts that they are not proud of, I am not saying that it is good you are having these thoughts but just understand it does not make you a horrible person, just do not allow those thoughts to take control of you and understand that they are not good thoughts and you should be OK, I don't think your a murderer

I feel bad that you can't love your dad. My dad's a good man, even though he's imperfect yet I used to hate him sometimes, when he was horrible to me. So I can only imagine what you go thru? Is he violent towards you?

Nah, he isn't violent towards me, but he is sometimes violent to my mum.

That sucks. How could you love him? Don't blame yourself, but just remember that everyone's broken in someway by our flawed humanity, and maybe he went through worse psychological abuse as a kid...if that's the case then it could help you understand why he is the way he is towards you. Then you might be able to be more tolerant with him and see everything as less personal. Don't let his constant criticism affect your self esteem, you're not perfect but obviously neither is he so he has no right.

I have dreams about killing my dad as well. And also eating him. Plus my dad is huge (his weight has nothing to do with why I hate him though), and his size is enough to feed me and maybe 2-3 others for at least a month or half a month.

As long as you aren't violent or having violent fantasies I think it's okay (but not healthy) to have such rage and hate towards your father. Seeing a family therapist may do you some good. Try communicating more with your dad.

I'm actually being serious, it really is impossible. Everytime I start a conversation he throws it back in my face, and starts nagging at me, I'm not violent but I do sometimes have very violent fantasies.
