my dad is a person devoid of remorse, I know because he beat his own mother and yet this never caused him any pain, he has no empathy, sometimes when I tell him about something that happened in the news he instead of showing pity it just says: there are thousands of people in the world and people die every day and that doesn't affect me at all, it's not in my interest if something serious happens to them or not, what does someone have died?

The other day I told him about a piece of news about a man who was burned alive and he just told me very calmly and with a calm tone, well they burned him, well let them burn him, he has nothing.

Sometimes I ask him: dad, what would you think if I died and he answers me: nothing, I would continue with my very normal life, sometimes it would even have been better if they had also aborted you.

What do you think of my father's psychological state? He is also very bitter, aggressive and doesn't care about anything.

One can have many disorders that cause lack of empathy also one can psychopathic traits without been a psychopath. Wouldn't really matter either way he's not a normal empathic person.
