At what age do you think someone stops being a "little girl"?

Further to a discussion I'm having on here. Me, I'm thinking about 12, maybe younger.

Baby, toddler, little girl, tween (maybe), teen, young woman, woman, middle-aged woman, old woman.

Drop the "little" at 17

15-16

13-14

11-12

9-10

Younger than 9

I voted 13-14 but I know when I was younger it would have been younger than that when I stopped feeling like a child and felt I was grown up enough to do more things. My numbers are skewed a bit because now I have a daughter of my own and I wouldn't want her dating for real until she was at least a teen.

I don't think you have to go straight from little girl to "dating", there can be a time in between. I don't know, to me "little girl" means someone I have to bend over to be roughly on eye level with.

Lol well that just depends on height. I grew pretty quick and ended up at 5'10 while my wife stopped growing at 11 or so and only made it to 4'11. On height alone 11-12 is probably a good indicator.

But I encompass maturity as well as other things when I think "little girl". I know at 11 I thought I could do it all and now at 43 I know that wasn't true.

I can't argue with that. My (permanently) little girls still can't deal with everything, but I've trusted them to make their own decisions since they were about 12.

It's all a matter of context. I'm 36 now, so I personally see 18-year-olds as "little girls."
