It's very very important.
But it's as important that you choose your crowd to fit you. Be openminded about people but don't get caught up in the types that has and will create bad habits for you.

There are conversations on subjects or situations that generally would not go down well with the regular female because they lack the male perspective, just like vice versa.

If your friendgroup is good and healthy for you then you will form great habits together, support eachother, have ways to let off steam and be straightt up and direct with you about your issues. Good circles strive to strengthen the group as a whole.

Very, very important. I'm married and I think even more important now, and especially the types of guys my wife think are a bad influence on me! I need them. "Bad influence" in this case means keeping my testosterone at a healthy level.

I've never met a woman who truly understands what guys need outside of them, and women will probably make the same accusation about us and I'm sure they're also right. But we need some comradery, some beers, competition, whatever floats your boat as a guy. We need this shit.

And women look at us high-fiving each other and think we're so dumb, and I think they're dumb with their chit-chat and shopping and whatnot. Or even if we're just dumb, dumb animal needs to play with other dumb animals! I can't spend my entire life talking about what we ate on Sunday! That would drive me insane!

I need this shit! I need guys! I love women but guys are very, very important. We must keep each other in line and compete, maybe even cross a few lines with each other, have some beers, and remind ourselves that the world isn't some fluffy cushion of a place.

One thing I've been thinking about and inspired by Bill Burr's routines is that women genuinely do seem to have endless energy, but marathon runner type of energy. It's low-energy but constant energy. It never stops.

I think most of us guys are wired for short bursts of high energy, like sprinters. We can unleash our beast in the bedroom because our testes fill up and we want to explode but then we're good for the whole night. Girls, on the other hand, can have like multiple climaxes and keep going. They want that guy who lasts like 17 hours in bed and then makes them breakfast and wants to go shopping with them for another 14 hours.

We need our rest! This beast isn't 24/7. I needa recharge. So I think guys are more relatable on this energy level. We got power bursts. We aren't down to just fill our whole day with shit to do. My idea of a vacation is not doing 100 things in a day. It's doing close to zero. Women seem opposite.

It is very important for me to have guy friends because I love women and I definitely think there are conversations I wouldn't mind discussing with either genders but there are some certain topics and activities that I exclusively prefer to do with the fellows. Plus I am heavenly into guy talk and there are type of stuff I don't feel comfortable taking with women.
