Why do people pretend to be your friend?

i quit my job a week ago i met my newer boss a few months before i quit as my older boss was fired.

my newer boss would say things like we vibe together & she said once how she would miss me if i left because i was funny.

i texted her yesterday just seeing how she was she never replied not even today.

it hurts a little i dont have friends in life my father was my only friend when he passed away years ago.

i thought me & her were friends she shared personal things with me i said some personal things about myself with her.
