-10/10 on the attractive scale. All of that sounds like a hell no to me
But how would he be seen in general by both genders?
The same. Insecure people are usually walking red flags. No one wants to be responsible for somebody else's emotional well-being. Therapy is a really good tool for bolstering self-esteem and working through issues that you may be insecure with. And as awful as this sounds in my mind, when I start feeling insecure about myself, I remind myself that people on my 600 lb life have husbands
It's odd though because the guy in question is unattractive & yet manages to get both genders to dislike him from the get go
The pretty girls are legit afraid of him & some get very 😡😡😡 at him for just being there
Dudes get all arrogant & cocky when around him
It's actually a documented phenomenon that unattractive people have more strife when dealing with social situations. Pretty people often have an easier time because people will go out of their way to service them or to help them. Unattractive people are usually met with disdain and being shunned because they are unattractive. I think there's a biological reason for it, but i can't remember. It was a while ago since I read the study. If you have a beautiful soul, someone will eventually recognize it. All you can do is your best
Neighbor girls would always put their heads down if they passed by me but scowl as their heads are down
Or get irritated from just one stare & raise their eyebrows at me
Guys have don't the eyebrows raising gesture at me too
I'm curious as to what negative connotation it concieves
www.mlive.com/.../msu_study_ugly_people.html
So these girls putting their heads down while passing me by but scowling is a sure sign that I'm being disrespected
I would say probably. It would be easy for me to say to just ignore it and live your life, so I won't give you that advice. I'd get a good therapist so I could talk about my feelings and work through the daily trauma. You can't control other people, but you can control how you react to things
So I'm being told that I'm ugly? WOW
But why all the hate towards me?
I had a therapist & she would constantly talk about me & my "size" or make stupid comments about me in general
I'm not sure. People are just nasty to each other. For some it makes them feel better about themselves, for others it's fear of something not fitting into their idea of normal, and some are just plain nasty. There is a lot of ugliness in the world and I don't mean aesthetically unpleasing. I mean genuine hatred and ugliness of soul. I wouldn't say I'm very attractive, but I'm not offensive and I've gone through my fair share of bullying throughout my life. It's just one of those things. You have to learn how to deal with some more than others
So I'm dealing with a typical airhead shallow girl who just wants to throw shade at me because I'm not her type physically?
She never has beef with the other dudes in our area though & some of them look nerdy or obese
Quite possibly. You could always try talking to her about it, maybe explain how it makes you feel. Maybe she doesn't realize it's rude or maybe it was unintentional. Unless you know for sure she's being disrespectful I would ask. I don't like making assumptions. If she doesn't want to talk to you about it then call it day. At least you can say you tried to extend the olive branch
Had a few other girls who lived across her do the same
The whole head lowered but scowling as their passing by
Even got some smirks by a few but avoiding eye contact completely
Gross. I hate bullies. You could still try humanizing yourself by explaining how it makes you feel. If it doesn't work and it still happens, then you'll just have to learn how to deal with it in a way where it won't ruin your entire day. You shouldn't ever give someone so much control over how good or bad of a day that you have. It's your life and you deserve to be happy, whatever that looks like
So you would attribute all of my experiences as simply bullying?
There's probably some more complex psychological things going on. But I like to try and simplify things where I can. If someone's being rude to me I do not really spend time getting to know them. I ignore them and go on about my business. If I'm really curious as to why they're treating me a certain way. I will ask questions. It seems like this really bothers you so that's why I think asking questions will help you understand what's going on.
It's odd because these same girls avoid every other guy & focus all of their negativity out on me
Some of those other dudes aren't lookers either but they focus on me anyways
Do you ever stand up for yourself? Or question them? Maybe they think you're an easy target. My therapist is always reminding me that we train people and how to treat us
It's a trap & there cowards if it came down to it
I lived with my 65 year old grandmother when all of this was drama was taking place
If I did anything it would of led to a physical bout where I most likely would of gotten jumped in the slightest chance Id be winning
I get arrested & thrown in jail &;my grandmother gets thrown into an old folks home
I do scowl back & hold that stare while looking directly back at them & these counts either just look away & smirk or smirk but look directly back
I go about it passively because I know I'm being set up
That could be true. If it is ignoring them. Seems like the best option
I gawked at this one girl who had issues with me when I passed by her by chance & I just gawked at her with no facial expression
All she did was smirk, shut her eyes when mines met hers & rolled them upwards to look ahead of me while still smirking
I mean ignoring and that you don't react. At all. Don't give the satisfaction of a response
I don't know why these girls had issues with me to even begin with 😂
From what I've been told I'm a 6/10 & some 7/10 ratings in my face but usually between 6-7 range in the face
I just never understood why all the drama
Oh that's not bad at all! The way you were talking it sounded like you were hideous. I thinking working on confidence and conflict resolution will be key for you. Who cares about what their motivation is to be mean? Will it matter in 5 years? Will they matter? If the answer is no to one or both of those questions then try not to focus on it. Work on being the best you and keep it pushing 🤷 the right people will come around
I'm not overweight nor short
A bit lanky but some leanness
But it's odd
We tend to clash too far often
A big reason why I don't leave the house
Try not letting other people steal your happiness from you. You should enjoy life and have fun.
I'm curious on how these same girls would behave around a very attractive guy? Be honest
Typically lots of giggling, staring, touching arm/shoulder/hand, they may get their friends to approach the guy, lots of questions being asked, and some light following to be close to the guy. If they are shy then it would be lots of staring, maybe some avoidance behaviors.
But not smirking, frowns, heads down but frowning? Lol
But I thought that girls were "intimidated" by attractive guys? Or is it just a myth? To some extent
Probably insecure.
