So I’m living at my parents house still but I’m 20 so I’m trying to get out ASAP. I share a room with my brother who’s 11 and it’s getting really frustrating. He doesn’t clean the room, do anything to have the room clean like I hate going in there it’s a basically a porta potty quite literally. I work 10 1/2 hours everyday I clean the room and get home and it’s a mess. I’ve told my parents about it and they somehow say either that I’m the one doing it and I’m lying and blaming him or saying he shouldn’t even have to clean up when at his age I was cleaning up most of the house. What’s a smart way to handle this without being led by my frustration instead of my brain?

It's understandable to feel frustrated and overwhelmed by the situation, but it's important to approach the issue in a calm and rational manner.
One potential solution could be to have a family meeting with your parents and brother to discuss the issue and come up with a plan for keeping the room clean. You could try expressing how the mess is affecting you and your daily life, and ask for everyone's input on how to maintain a clean and organized space.
It's also important to set clear expectations and boundaries with your brother, such as assigning specific chores or creating a cleaning schedule. You could try approaching the situation in a positive and constructive way, such as offering to help your brother with cleaning or making it into a fun activity that you can do together.
If your parents are not receptive to your concerns or refuse to help address the issue, it may be helpful to seek support from a trusted friend or mental health professional. It's important to prioritize your own well-being and find a living situation that is safe and comfortable for you.
