How should this be handled?

My girl friend *Trish* likes the same man that hit on me at the festival night; a mutual friend. Surprisingly, she seemed to get angry/hurt when I told her he’d come onto me. It’s clear to her that I’m not interested in more than his friendship and he’s probably not that interested in me either.

However, he’s never noticed Trish as more than a mate and even gone so far as to ask my advice on how to make sure she didn’t pursue him romantically (I at the time thought he was being silly). I wasn’t aware of her feelings, until she got a bit snarky about it, when I told her. Should I just not mention stuff like that to Trish in future, in regards to this man?

I honestly think you just dealt with an issue that you no longer have to deal with because it's not your fault she has to respect decisions of people and if she doesn't run away as fast as possible that is a bad friend

I agree with others, not your responsibility to stay involved. If he does not want her to come on to him than he needs to deal with it if and when she does

This is probably the sort of thing you should avoid being involved in, and let them sort it out amongst themselves.
