I have an internet friend who I talk to almost daily while we game or just to talk, he recently told me he´s on antidepressants. I know he´s depressed and he told me recently he hasn´t been doing well so his psychiatrist prescribed him antidepressants. Literally the first day he took them he told me he can´t think or concentrate and he also wasn´t performing good in the game we play for example and he got really sad and I felt so bad because usually he´s a god at it and he just said he´s gonna go off and ´´just sit around´´
I´m really worried because I saw what antidepressants did to my dad. First he got severe anger issues which caused my parents to split when I was 15. He´s been on it for years now and he´s a complete shell of his former self, literally dumbed down, no personality, and the dullest eyes I´ve ever seen. I don´t even see him anymore because I can´t stand it. He´s also hit me in the past which never happened before he was on those meds. Just an example
I´m really worried and I care a lot but I know people will come for me for suggesting something like that. I have lived with depression since I was 11 and I´ve always refused to be on medication because as I said of what I saw it do to my dad
