How is it possible to have triplets if there are no multiple births in my family?

I'm currently 2 months pregnant and it's triplets. No one in my family has multiple birth and neither nor my husband nor I were on any fertility treatment, none.

We weren't even trying to be honest. I was assuming my childbearing years was nearly dead by now. I gave birth to our daughter at age 35 and it was a difficult pregnancy. Or is it my age producing triplets?

The doctor already has me as a high risk pregnancy and have several follow-up appointments.

My nephews dad was a triplet and there was no one in their family who were twins or even triplets. I guess the world wanted you and all those other people to be blessed with multiple births.

I also have cousins who are twins and they are the only twins in my family.

The world wanted you to be a mum again only this time the world blessed you with 3 little miracles because the world knows you will love them and take care of them. I'm sure everything will go well with your pregnancy. Congratulations.

They don’t necessarily have to run in the family. Caucasian women over 35 have the highest rate of multiple births

I find it increasing how the odds can sometimes work in life when you're not even looking for it nor even planning it. I'm already 39 and with a low ovarian count, my chances of getting pregnant were already low, plus my vaginal birth with my daughter was complicated and here I am now... with triplet. I thought I was done with kids, lol.

There's many things that can increase your likelihood now just it being in the family. Being over 30 is one

I really thought I was done with kids at my age. My husband and I weren't even trying. We were thinking that in the event I get pregnant (very unlikely since I already had a low ovarian reserve), our daughter would have a brother or sister.
It's weird how things work out. When you assume it's over and it's not even planned, it can happen.
