Should I stay home from work if my moms dog got sprayed by a skunk?

I live with my mom. She let her dog out to do his business when my mom caught a glimpse of something in the trash can, and it ran. Her dog happened to be outside at the time. My mom woke me up saying there is a terrible smell, and asked me what it is. Well, the smell is terrible. Whenever I smell a skunk near by, it smells like weed sort of. This smell smells like rotten onions, and burning rubber. I thought there was a fire at first. I smelled my moms dog, and im pretty sure the smell is coming from him. I had to pick him up to put him into the tub, and my mom washed him. I'm laying in my bed, and I definitely stink. I read that no matter what you do, the smell will linger for up to two weeks. I don't want to Walk around smelling like this for two weeks, and stink up every building I enter. I certainly don't want to take two weeks off of work.
