So I yelled at my best friend brother ( he's 22 ) for asking a girl that he's friends with ( she has a boyfriend) if she liked him more as a friend and if she would break up with her boyfriend to be with him. Now I honestly don't know why he said that, especially since she's going through a vulnerable state, she has been arguing with her boyfriend a lot lately. So that was his reason on why he said it because he knew she had a crush in him before she was in a relationship, so they just stayed close friends even though he went out on dates and she had a boyfriend. He acts like he doesn't like her to actually date her so I really don't see the point of him saying those things.

They're very close, when I first met her, I honestly thought they were together until he said they were just friends and she had a boyfriend

That makes it a little complicated. If you couldn't tell if it is right or not, i dont think an stranger like me can help that much. If i was in his situation, i may say that (if i feel is right and im not just being manipulative)
